Cheap Satanism Records celebrates its second anniversary in style: the worthless Demon worshipers decided to play with the number 2 and release two split EPs including two of their seminal bands, KEIKI and Joy As A Toy, who will present their second release on the label sometime in 2012.

On one of these records Joy As A Toy cross swords with Germanotta Youth, an Italian band which counts MASSIMO PUPILLO from ZU among its members.

Joy As A Toy is currently finishing recording their second album "Dead As A Dodo" which will be released in April on the label, and they immortalize this crazy project performed during the first edition of ZomBIFFF Night that Cheap Satanism Records organized at the the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in April 2011. Bass player PIERRE VERLOESEM (X-LEGGED SALLY, FLAT EARTH SOCIETY...) had joined them on stage and the band used the occasion to play analog synthesizers and samplers to deliver songs inspired by the soundtracks of the master of Horror films, DARIO ARGENTO. On this split the band cuts the "freely inspired" to cover in the sauce they like "Profondo Rosso" theme composed by GOBLIN in 1975 and they conclude their vinyl face with a horrendously mad original track.

The description "Horrendously mad" would suit Germanotta Youth and one just has to read their statement of intent to be convinced: "CICCONE YOUTH was born in the 80s while MADONNA (also known as LOUISE VERONICA CICCONE) was ruling the world. We are in 2010, LADY GAGA's era (STEFANI JOANNE ANGELINA GERMANOTTA by her real name). So here comes the time of Germanotta Youth!!!”. That says it all. Almost. With this split album Germonatta Youth who describe their music as "Cybergrind Techno Fast & Furious", play the same game as Joy As A Toy. The trio from Rome presents a cover of the famous "Halloween" theme turning JOHN CARPENTER's original song upside down before delivering a horribly sweltering crude-sounding track.

Cheap Satanism Records fête ses 2 ans. Pour célébrer cela dignement, ces adorateurs de démons à deux balles s'amusent avec le chiffre 2 en sortant deux split EPs impliquant deux de ses groupes phares qui livreront chacun leur deuxième production labélisée Cheap Satanism Records dans le courant de l'année 2012.

Un de ces splits verra Joy As A Toy croiser le fer avec Germanotta Youth, formation italienne dans lequel on retrouve notamment MASSIMO PUPILLO de ZU.

Joy As A Toy est actuellement en pleine finalisation de l'enregistrement de "Dead As A Dodo", leur 2ème album qui sortira au printemps prochain sur Cheap Satanism Records. Avec ce nouvel opus, Joy As A Toy immortalisera ce projet un peu fou qu'il a présenté lors de la 1ère ZomBIFFF Night, organisée par Cheap Satanism Records dans le cadre du Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. Pour rappel, renforcé pour l'occasion par la présence de PIERRE VERLOESEM (X-LEGGED SALLY, FLAT EARTH SOCIETY...) à la basse, le groupe en avait profité pour sortir synthétiseurs analogiques et samplers afin de livrer un répertoire librement inspiré des bandes originales des films du maître de l'épouvante DARIO ARGENTO. Sur ce split, le groupe laisse tomber le "librement inspiré" pour reprendre à sa sauce le thème de "Profondo Rosso" composé en 1975 par le groupe GOBLIN et complète sa face avec un titre original monstrueusement allumé.

"Monstrueusement allumé" est un qualificatif qui collerait à merveille à Germanotta Youth. Il suffit de lire la note d'intention du groupe pour le prouver : "Dans les années 80, CICCONE YOUTH a vu le jour alors que MADONNA (LOUISE VERONICA CICCONE de son vrai nom) dominait le monde. Nous sommes en 2010. C'est l'ère de LADY GAGA (derrière laquelle se cache STEFANI JOANNE ANGELINA GERMANOTTA). Voici donc venu le temps de Germanotta Youth!!!” Tout est dit ou presque. Avec ce split, Germonatta Youth qui définit sa musique comme de la "Cybergrind Techno Fast & Furious", joue au même jeu que Joy As A Toy. Le trio romain signe une reprise au rouleau compresseur du célèbre thème d'"Halloween" de JOHN CARPENTER et complète le tableau avec un morceau de son cru horriblement oppressant.
